A New Generation of Leadership
Democracy Vouchers
The Democracy Vouchers Program is a key piece of our campaign to increase education and access to politics and power at City Hall. The program allows all Seattle voters who are already struggling during the pandemic to have a voice in how to shape the city and their futures.
Passed by initiative in 2021, the program allows $6.8 million in funding to become available to candidates. This is the first year mayoral candidates are eligible for the Democracy Voucher Program.
Please email if you have any questions on vouchers.
“We are a prosperous city, and it’s time for that prosperity to be shared. We can become a city where essential workers can afford to live.”
Our Vision for Seattle
Equitable Renewal
The events of the past year have laid bare the extent of health and economic inequality in our city, yet there are already promising solutions to displacement and economic injustices taking place within Seattle neighborhoods.
These community-assets deserve support from City Hall, not an obstruction to progress.
Affordability and Rapid Rehousing
Seattle’s cost of living has grown tremendously, and our city is facing an affordable housing crisis.
To make Seattle a place where essential workers can afford to live, we have to take unprecedented action -- today.
Keeping the Public Safe
No one should go to jail for trying to stay alive. No one should be separated from their family unless it's an absolute last resort. No one should go into debt trying to defend themselves. And absolutely, no one should be punished for being mentally ill.
It's time for our justice system to become about resolving conflict, not creating multi-generational trauma.
